What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a complementary therapy using a pressure technique on the reflex points of the feet and the hands. Reflexology is an extremely effective ancient healing therapy based on the principle that the reflexes within the feet and the hands correspond to each organ and structure within the body. These reflexes are linked to the organs by zones/meridians; when illness occurs the corresponding zone becomes blocked. Reflexology breaks down the blockages and allows the body to return to good health and a natural state of balance.
What Conditions Can it Help?
Reflexology can help alleviate the symptoms of many conditions such as IBS/digestive problems, back pain, migraine, PMS, stress and many more the list is endless. It also helps with fertility problems and is very useful during pregnancy.
Reflexology is safe to use with most medical conditions and alongside medication. Medical history is discussed during your first treatment so any further questions can be answered then.
What Are The Benefits of Reflexology?
As well as helping to alleviate symptoms of illness and stress, reflexology can help to prevent illness, relax and revitalise and help with your general wellbeing.
Reflexology, Fertility and Pregnancy
Reflexology can help with fertility and pregnancy. It can help the client to relax and balance the hormones by treating the whole person - mind, body and spirit.
During pregnancy reflexology can help with such problems as nausea, tiredness, swollen ankles, indigestion and high blood pressure. It can help ease the birth by relaxing the mother, getting the body ready for the contractions and helping to prepare for the experience ahead.
I have completed a fertility course with the Aquarian School of Reflexology and have treated many pregnant clients and those trying to become pregnant.
